Here are some ideas about what we are doing for New Beginnings. Our theme is B.O.O.T. Camp “Building Our Own Testimony” Our invitation is a draft letter; very simple. I am attaching our program (it is still a work in progress, but I will send it to you as it is right now). There is also a little skit that is turning out cute. It requires 7-9 girls. We have a few men that are hunters in the area so we are decorating with their camouflage stuff. I also got some canvas and we are going to spray paint with a stencil “Welcome to BOOT Camp and our Troop # (ward #) etc. I went to the local armory and got a couple posters that say, “Be all you can be” etc. We also have a picture of Captain Moroni on the table. We were serving refreshments in a Mess Tent. We were going to do MRE’s but they weren’t in the budget, so we are decorating cookies or donuts with army green icing. Each girl will get dog tags & a camouflage bandana. We always give a flower to girls earning awards, so we are giving them ugly green carnations this time. Should be fun!
