Pioneer Day Costumes

We made costumes (among other things) for all of the primary children (we have a rather small primary) out of muslin we got for $1/yard. See http://whynoteight.wordpress.com/2010/08/10/pioneer-day/ for instructions.

Pioneer Day Activity Booths

Our Stake primary pres. sponsored a stake quarterly activity based on pioneer day. Each of the 10 wards/branches were responsible for 2 booths. We were given a list with ideas on it or we could list our own ideas and do those. It was so FUN. Here are some of the booths that the children loved everyone was encouraged to wear pioneer clothing.

This is the Place

Our ward wanted to go to "This is the Place" in SLC, UT which centers back in the days of the pioneers. They have crafts, games and different places the children can go to visit. Read more »
